Hello from Latvia!
Some time ago on tv I saw wonderful film, some kind of English "road movie", called "Heartlands", about somebody's journey through picturesque country of England to his dreamplace Blackpool. And Blackpool looked so beautiful in this movie that I decided to google to find some pictures of real Blackpool. So, by coincidence it brought me to Flickr... and I decided to upload my first pictures to Flickr, thinking about - what if someone somewhere in the other end of the world, hearing the word LATVIA, LETTLAND, LETONIA, LA LETTONIE, LETTONIA, would like to know - I wonder, how does it look like there, in Latvia?
I am here to show the world how beautiful my country is. And to see the beauty of the world through the eyes of the others. I do it via Postcrossing too - the thing inspired me to take part in making real postcards - you're welcome to look in www.pastkarte.lv
The thing I love to do most is going with a basket to forest. You can join me, leastways in my pictures :)))
Here's the mosaic of my favorites pictures during last four years on flickr:

Here in Flickr I specially like two things - unexpected meetings which would never be possible in other ways, and mosaic of my Faves! Just love it!
Usually I add contacts after searching through someone's photostream... If I'm impressed by beauty I want to see person's future pictures as well :)
(Sorry for not commenting much... )
P.s. And there are some more things I care about and would like to share with everybody - to listen, to watch, to think about and to take a side.

UPDATED Sometimes you see something a little different in someone's pictures here on flickr - they make you think... they tell a story in a different way... they make the ordinary seem amazing! Then this is the story of Sandra's pictures. I keep coming back to her pictures so I can learn from her story telling ... learn about life and about picture taking! Yes she documents and records but also she uses her eye to tell stories and to paint a picture in colours, lines, shapes, forms and even in sounds! And of course Sandra shows us her beautiful country and thanks for this!
