A proud Canadian, retired and living on Vancouver Island on Canada's west coast. My camera is a Nikon Z6 II. The majority of my images are hand-held and I shoot colour as well as black and white. Whether it's a b/w image or a coloured one depends on how I see my subject. Light plays an important role in my photography as does composition.

One really doesn't need a lot of different cameras and lenses in order to capture 'the beautiful photo'. Seeing and visualizing before snapping the shutter is what makes a satisfactory result in my opinion. I try and do as much as possible in camera before moving on to my computer. All my images are RAW images and I do not use PhotoShop or Lightroom having moved away from Adobe some time ago. I use a couple of other software programmes in lieu in order to achieve the result I am looking for in post-processing.

I appreciate Flicker members viewing my images along with their comments. I may not always answer them but I'm always viewing the work of other photographers for inspiration and ideas. I am not on any social media other than Flicker.
