I've always enjoyed taking pictures but started to really understand and enjoy photography after getting a Nikon D80 in December 2006. I had my D80 for four years and learned so much about the basics of photography while using it. I moved up to a Nikon D700 in December 2010 and look forward to learning how to use this new camera while continuing to advance my knowledge of photography.

I've found I have a particular interest in and fondness for nature photography. I am continually amazed at the beauty and detail of God's creation. In addition to what I learn about photography, I'm learning a tremendous amount about flowers, trees, plants, butterflies and dragonflies.
