Hi There!

Many years ago when film was what you put in your camera and not memory cards, I tried to be a good photographer. Alas, I failed. I thought too much about the process: have I the right shutter speed, correct aperture, am I using the right lens? I was so bogged down by the technicalities that I failed to see the world in front of me.

Now, many years on, and after only having used a camera to capture family and friends at birthday parties and the like, I have found my photographic interest renewed. However, now I find myself caring less about having the right gear and wanting to look like a 'real' photographer. Instead, I'm quite happy to snap away at whatever interests me in the way I see it. If it results in a good image, great!!

The best part of all of this, though, is that I not only get to share the world as I see it, but I get to see the world through the eyes of others; and there are certainly some very good eyes out there!!!

Happy photographing everyone!!
