Before becoming a photographer (graduated in 2005 from the prestigious Advanced Program in Photography of Vevey), Samuel Rubio studied filmmaking in the US. His life experiences in Switzerland, Spain, the US, and Germany have made him aware of the multicultural issues and the liquidity of the modern western world, which he reflects in his images with a keen eye for cinema aesthetics and a passion for natural light ambiances. Fluent in five languages – six if we count photography – he also conducts institutional and private workshops.

Samuel Rubio is based in Geneva (Switzerland) and Barcelona (Spain) and is open to all kinds of projects and commissions.
