Hello Sam, i would just like to say what a wonderful man your father was. I know you know this and must have heard it many times, but I simply have to say it to you. I and my two brothers, Michael and Tony, were pupils at Lillington Junior School. (Mike 1957-61 me 1960-64 and Tony 1966-70) I have often remembered your father down the years. He did not take us for any lessons so it is difficult to say quite how his personality managed to come across. All I can say is that I just knew he had all our best interests in mind and that it was his life's work. He was calm and kind and just such a very natural teacher and leader. He used to come into our class and test us on general knowledge , which I always enjoyed. i know that you lost him at far too young an age. Your sister was a pupil at King's High I remember, though she was older than me. It was lovely to see the photograph of your father and the other teachers on your site.
