Sam Parks is a wildlife and nature photographer, and has spent extensive amounts of time photographing in locations across Wyoming and the American West. While he enjoys photographing all types of wildlife, his favorite animals to photograph are native predators, particularly wolves and grizzly bears. His favorite location to photograph is the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Sam resides in Laramie, Wyoming, a small city nestled between the Laramie Range to the east, and the Snowy Range, to the west. Sam has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys camping, hiking, bird-watching and generally enjoying the wilderness.
All of the images on this site are of wild animals, not game farm or captive animals. Additionally, none of the animals have been baited or deceived with calling devices.
Sam is dedicated to the well-being of his subjects and adheres to the credo that no photograph is worth jeopardizing the welfare of the animals he photographs. If at any point Sam feels that his actions are disturbing an animal’s natural behavior, he will leave the area immediately.
The preservation of our remaining wild places and creatures is of the utmost importance to Sam. In addition to being involved in conservation projects of his own, he supports numerous conservation organizations with free and unlimited use of his images.
