I started off as a complete photography newbie back in May 2009 by buying a Nikon D40 kit to help me keep busy after a few months of feeling "lost". Since then, I have been teaching myself by reading books and photography forums, shooting when I can and upgrading my gear. Whilst I have had a few photographs published, I still shoot for fun. In Jan 2011, I upgraded to a Nikon D90, which carried on learning with. My lenses were Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 and of course I have all sorts of accessories to go alongside them. Two years ago, I decided to go full frame and got a Nikon D610 and Tamron 24-70 f/2.8. Unfortunately I've developed other interests recently so photography is not my main hobby anymore but I still enjoy going out and shooting.

I love architecture and often wander around camera in hand looking up. It's probably what I enjoy shooting the most. Otherwise, it's pretty much all things around me on days out or holidays.

I only shoot as a hobby despite several people suggesting I should consider making it a job. Having seen what some pros can do, I think I am far away from that yet.

With regards to my photos, please feel free to leave any feedback, especially any constructive criticism. Don't hold back; I would much rather know what I could have done better!
