I am a writer and photographer, and spent a career as a newspaper reporter and editor. Since leaving the newspaper business 11 years ago, I have had two books published -- a true crime book titled Precious Blood (2007, Pinnacle), and a book of short stories, T.D. and the Tater and other News from Augusta County (2011, Bodmin Books). A third book in which I am a contributor is expected out this summer from the University Press of Kentucky. I've also had the honor of being an Earth Journalism Network Fellow, and traveling to two UN climate change conferences as a freelancer.
