Hello, I’m Sam. I’m a writer and illustrator from Surrey, England.

Since graduating from Cambridge School of Art with a first class degree in Illustration and Masters in Children’s Book Illustration, I’ve written and illustrated two children’s picturebooks, illustrated children’s books by Julia Donaldson and Ian Whybrow, and worked on a series of books for a publisher in Korea. I’ve also illustrated for magazines, multimedia, and advertising campaigns in the UK and China.

If I’m not engulfed in pastel dust or scribbling story ideas, you’ll most likely find me picking and plonking on the guitar and piano, running through the woods, laughing at my cats, or hunting for peculiar picturebooks.

I love a good beer in a Ye Olde country pub, 60s and 70s folk rock, swimming, skiing and exploring.
