What I like more about Salvatore is his ‘honesty’ at the moment of shooting. I mean, he is in the same current of the great Italian masters of realism. Looking at his infinite images we can know more and more about ourselves. Looking at his pictures I can imagine myself talking to an older brother. He is in my highest esteem as an artist, and as a human being too; because looking at his pictures is enough for me to know about his persona. All the doubts, all the laughter, all the silliest things and all the wrath and sadness of my ancestors are in his photographs. I can feel myself reflected there.
