UPDATE: Last month (August 2008), I received a great job offer to work in Washington, DC. So I moved again from New York to Maryland. After living in one aparment for 7 years, then moving last year, it seems like I'm back on the travel plan.

Previously: I was living in California (for 14 years), but returned to NY state in October of 2007. I've put the teaching profession behind me for a while as I had the opportunity to retire early. I still consider myself more of a professional learner than a teacher. Photography is one of my passions as is reading, writing, a good glass of wine, and genuine conversation. I'm a movie buff and thanks to Netflix I've seen movies that would have taken me years to discover. I have several cameras ranging from my Samsung NV10 digital to 3 Minolta Maxxums (including a Maxxum 7d), a Mamiya 330C, and a Holga. I started my flickr series with a Kodak digital that was with my oldest son in a mosh pit in Chicago and it didn't survive (thankfully he did).
