I had a dream to sail more of the Caribbean in this life.

Ten years ago I decided to realize those dreams and bought the Amigo. I am a big believer of living your dreams. I have spent the last four winters exploring the land and seas of Cuba. Cuba is an amazing land; rich in history, land, laughter, music. These have been special times. You feel living history sailing around Cuba. From Columbus to Castro Cuba has been a central actor on the world stage.. It is ninety short miles between the US and Cuba but they are a world apart.

The Cubans are wonderful people. They are well educated, honest and playful. Cuba is a strange blend of progressive governance and a centralized communist controlled political economy. Throw in some salsa, hot tropical nights and you have a strange and intoxicating blend.

The Coast of Cuba is the most pristine and undeveloped of the whole Caribbean. Very little development has occurred in the last fifty years. This is the wildest Caribbean. I love the wilds. The untouched beaches. The animals and reefs. These are good days. Sailing on a crystal sea. A sea filled with wilderness, tranquility, history, politics, music, laughter and friends.

This is part of me.

I'll tell you more as time goes by....

I am back. Just about finished another year of work. As the air cools dreams of warm sultry winds, the caress of tropical seas, and hot song and dance fill my mind. I dreamt of finding the perfect one to share and build a life together. I have found her now. Dreams do come true.

I have studied to be an anthropologist, environmentalist, naturalist, activist, and psychologist. I study to learn and grow; to change myself and the world.
