The first time I ever saw Calum was through a one way mirror. I was in the manager's office at a grocery store and he was talking to a beautiful girl from behind the customer service counter. Our road trip to Chicago was the first time I ever saw him behind the shutter, but it wasn't for another few years that I first picked up a camera and began to understand what he was up to. Our friendship has survived years and intercontinental translations, and I think Calum's photographs have survived and will survive the same. His compositions speak a universal language that isn't bound to trends.
