I am 34 year old busy a mom of four. I started making cakes because my children are allergic to milk and butter and I wanted them to have special cakes like all their friends.

I discovered I have a passion for cake decorating. I love cake decorating and sugar work. One day I hope to be a student and learn more about the science of baking and the art of decorating.

Everything I have learned thus far has been self taught with the help of many generous cake friends on-line. The cakes I make are only for my family right now. One day I hope to be working in a shop.

For now I am just amazed at the beauty and creativity I have found in the galleries here and at other cake sites. I have found so many cakes that I like and hope to research the techniques used to maybe try myself one day.

There are many cakes I have saved. If I have saved your cake then thank you very much for sharing it and it is an inspiration for me to aspire to.

I am not merely steeling ideas or gathering pics to use as my own. I seriously admire the talent each artist puts into their creation. I have come across many cakes that I know didn't belong on to the owners of business websites. I always find who the cake belongs to and alert them to the theft of their pictures and warn the website owner to remove those works that are not their own.

I think that replicating someone's work with your own twist or spin is a form of flattery and a sincere compliment. But I hope you will agree that taking someone's pictures and using them as your own is flat out wrong.

That is why I put my name on my cake pictures, even though I do not sell them.
