In his pictures he depicts everything he notices in an uncompromising manner, planning his work in every detail of composition and lighting. “The selfportrait is an autoshot The autoshot is a selfportrait" is the description to his most misunderstood shot, the selfportrait of a camera. In such a form, listed, numbered and dissected, the images do not seem to have anything in common with art. The way they show things brings to mind science not art. They distort and dissemble in order to readjust and reassemble. "[...] painting requires a certain blindness. An intelligent man will know more about what he is drawing than he will see, [...] he will become constrained, unable to pursue an idea strongly.", if that is true Sachavierny acts contrary to these rules.
