I am learning the craft of photography by trial and many, many errors. So far I'm stuck on the 'learning to see' stage as it turns out that none of my cameras seem able to select a good photo on their own. I have a horrible suspicion that that part might be up to me.

I now take a camera almost everywhere I go as I've found it much easier to take photos when I have it with me!

NOTE

Sometimes I take pictures of people on the streets. At times I ask permission verbally or with a gesture and in other cases I just take the photo in order to capture a gesture or a moment (as part of a broader cultural story) that would otherwise be lost.

If you recognise yourself in any of my pictures and want a copy, I'll gladly send you one. And if for any reason you want me to remove the picture from flickr I will do so immediately.
