Amateur photographer, only just working out how to use a digital camera, so be patient with my photos! My photos are primarily for botanical identification for my own purposes, so are generally not very "arty". If any are "artistic" it is purely by accident.

My PhD was in plant botany/ecology, focussed specifically on the contribution of endemic species to the floristic patterns in the Daintree, a region in which I have worked (and continue to study in), since 1982. Currently co-director (with my partner) of our own consultancy company which gives me the opportunity to travel to some remote and interesting places, before they are messed up by mines/roads/powerlines, people in general.
