I've been into photography for several years now. I feel I've learned a lot from flickr. I picked up my first digital camera this spring (2005, a Kodak 7530) and I've been hooked ever since. I just added a Canon Digital Rebel XT (2/2006) with a Sigma 28-70mm lens, a Canon 75-300mm USM Lens and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens... Loving it! There has been more equipment since then but I won't try to list it all here. :-)
Back in 2008 my wife and I are starting a little part-time photo business, Wheeler Photography. It should be fun!

Even though Steve is (I think) about 45 years younger than I am, I consider him one of my mentors in this new-to-me world of digital photography. Even though I have never met Steve, I feel like I know him, especially with his shared love of waterfalls. His pictures traverse a broad spectrum of subjects and I try to always look for his new ones. Steve treats his subject with humility,humor and perspective. He's helped me out a lot as a new digital camera owner, both by noting how he goes about taking pictures and by directing me around the many phases of Flickr. If want to see how good picture taking goes down I suggest you study and learn form Steve's pictures.
