AUTHENTICITY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY

My approach in the following categories:

The Use Of AI / Altered Reality

• I use tools to tidy up / enhance images.

• I will not substantially alter the reality of a scene without stating what has been done (i.e. adding elements not originally in the scene, compositing pictures).

Environment

• The vast majority of my pictures are created without the use of a car (and I don't own one).

• I will not disturb wildlife / habitat when taking pictures.

• I will not litter, or damage infrastructure.

Safety

• I have the required drone licenses and have a very cautious approach to its use.

• I will not invade privacy or personal space.

• I will not get in the way of operational activities and people flow when taking photographs.

• I have been trained by the Samaritans and will be vigilant to personal and operational safety.

Originally from Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, went to University in Swansea and Leeds, worked in Manchester, Glasgow and now work for Transport for London looking after Investment Appraisal. Love taking pictures of transport, nature and travel.

I have been interested in transport since a young age. At junior school I was fascinated by the West Yorkshire PTE Leyland Nationals. My high school looked over the Calder Valley main line and in those days (mid 80's) there was a constant flow of freight - MGRs, Cawoods, Stanlow tanks, Red Bank Newspapers. I soon wanted to take pictures and get better at it, although largely missed the BR Blue era.
