My Info:

I am 26 years old and currently in school for graphic / web design and working as a satellite tv tech. If I'm not in school or working I'd rather surfing or playing with my photography.

Right now I am very interested in HDR (high dynamic range) and DRI (dynamic range increase, aka. digital blending) photography. It gives you the most control over achieving the perfect exposure for you photo. Most of my photos are composed of at least 3 different exposures and either processed in photomatix or photoshop.

I've been a fan of Ryan's work since the first time I saw his gorgeous seascape HDR. From then on, Ryan never ceases to amaze with every masterpiece as he demonstrates his vast talent and versatility. His photos are never short of perfection and his processing skills are out of this world, which can explain why he enjoys spaceship looking structures. I have a theory he might actually be from another world...searching for a way home :P. More than just a phenomenal photographer, he also has a great personality and sense of humor. I thoroughly enjoy reading his descriptions and comments just as much as I enjoy gawking at his photos. He always knows how to make people laugh and smile :). I’m very glad to have him as a contact and friend! You rock Ryan!

It was Ryan's first time visiting the downtown Spatula City store, and as a 20 year cashier there I could tell he had never seen a selection of "flippers" as we call it in the industry. But what I did notice about him, besides the creepy black trench coat, was that Ryan was very determined to find just the spatula he wanted. He told our sales associate that he was cooking a 600 egg omelet for charity in his neighborhood and he needed a custom spatula that would not only flip the omelet, but also have a digital internal thermometer which would read the middle temperature of said omelet. Locking my register, I approached him and took him into our spatula engineering facility in the back where we made all our custom orders. He was amazed by all the technology incorporated into the creation of such a simple kitchen tool, and his eyes searched our lab with unscrupulous attention to detail. It took us only a month to engineer his spatula, which came with a free forklift and webcam and he was very pleased. We also put some racing pinstipes on it. What I noticed after I was invited to their charity omelet event was that Ryan has the same passion for greatness with photography. Pushing the limits on technique and technology, his digital visions are created with camera and computer into tangible dreams. We only sold that one spatula to Ryan, but the memories remain. If you ever get to work with Ryan in the field, you'll be amazed by his dedication and passion. Just don't offer to get an omelet afterward with him.
