Ryan has a unique approach to photography. Most of us search for a perfect subject or set up situations to record, but Ryan is open to the world around him and captures the beauty in what others hardly notice: stalks of grass struggling up between slabs of concrete, tangled wire fences, the smiley face created by sunlight streaming through the rusting holes in an oil drum lid... I haven't known Ryan long, but he is one of my favorite Flickr people. He's funny and sweet-tempered and generous and extremely talented. I can't wait to see what he's found to show us next...
