I'm a graphic designer. I speak English and French. Raised in Florida, live in Utah.
My photography preferences are fairly narrow I would say, and perhaps not too sophisticated from some more artsy points of view. Nevertheless, I am a good artist myself when it comes to realistic drawing...I chiefly prefer landscape photography and other photos to a much lesser extent. One trait I like in photos would include crisp, sharp images. I don't care much for images with a mid-depth area in focus and an out of focus background and/or foreground. I wonder if my being quite nearsighted affects my dislike of such imagery? Besides soft images, I also don't like usage or reliance on dark vignettes framing every photo to make them look interesting. I think that is unattractive and gimmicky at best. I find random, poorly descriptive of cutesy titles to name a photo to be uninteresting at best and always annoying. This is especially true when no information is given about where it was taken, when and with what equipment.
