If you wish my HC-110 dilution spreadsheet, real numbers with enough precision to mix up any of the HC-110 alphabet for any tank you have, send FLICKR mail to me with your email address. 5/15/2020 This offer is still good. Don't forget to include your email address.
My first real film camera was a Yashica TL - a gift from my father. I found that shooting TriX and D76 push developing was a great way to enlarge small design elements via slide projector. I bought bulk and rolled my own. The resulting art can be seen at the end of my Flickr photostream.
Later, on the event of digital, I abandoned all my Yashicas (except one TL Electro). And even later, with retirement a couple of years away, I decided to get back into film photography. Started with a couple of Nikon N80s, a N55 and of course I still had the TL Electro. I moved onto Medium Format: Mamiya C330 and 645E.
Then I saw a Graflex Miniature Speed Graphic on E-bay with a 120 roll back. No turning back now.... A Graflex Super Graphic was next which has really slowed me down in a good way. I liken the 4x5 to a Tennesee long rifle, one shot at a time. And no need to snap 15 or so meaningless pics just to use up a roll so I can develop 3 pictures.
I now develop with HC110 (the Freestyle L110 to be exact) after giving Rodinal and D76 a try. I use an old JOBO tank that I glued together from parts, oval style 4x5 holder in it and the Uniroller 352. Using a small tank with inversion by hand seems a waste. Like golf is a good walk wasted, I would rather sit and do nothing but still accomplishing something.
I now develop C41 35mm, medium format and 4x5. My setup is documented in my photostream. E-6 (slide film) is next.
I look forward to the next chapters - they will as Darrin Stevens once said: "Look good in color as well as black and white" (really the only worthwhile nugget from the original Bewitched series).
At the end of my photostream is older items from when I etched glass on a commission basis.
Enjoy and comment please.
If you fav, I will look through your photostream if time permits.
