My name is Ryan Walker, 18 years old, I have just finished studying Level 3 Fisheries Management at Bishop Burton College, currently achieving the highest mark possible! (Triple Distinction; Distinction*), this has now allowed me to get onto my University course I intended to go on too. I will be starting Hull University in September time (2013), to study Marine and Freshwater Biology, for 3 years.

 

As you can see by many of my pictures, I am a very keen angler, and have been since the age of 4 years old. With my Dad been my top angler partner, we enjoy our hobby as a great excuse to get out and enjoy the natural surroundings. Wether its catching a fish or hearing a bittern booming in the reeds two pegs down, we can still go home with a smile on our face, and a memory for our books.

 

This is also a great excuse to take up photography, in which I took up 5 years ago, and seriously got into it the beginning of 2011. I started out with my trusty Sony Cybershot, which I decided to ram in a sandwich bag and chuck in my garden pond for some underwater filming, which it worked a treat. So that is now my experimenting camera. I also then upgraded to a FujiFilm S2950, capturing some amazing photographs for me, some which caught many peoples eyes. I then upgraded on my birthday to a Canon 50D! My first DSLR! I am now currently in love with it, and wont leave it alone. With my MacBook Air to help upload the pictures, and have a fiddle around, experimenting it is perfect. I also take my laptop out with me, put my camera on my tripod and control it from my laptop, so its a fancy remote basically. I am now after a iMac, but this will take some saving up for, so its slow and steady until then!

 

I have now started copyrighting my own pictures, due to several people stealing them from the internet and using them on other sites, claiming they where their own photos. I wouldn't mind if they'd of asked, but that was a bit too much for me, so I just do this now to prevent any of that happening again.
