Ruve is a contraction of my given name and my family name.

Since my teens I’ve been interest in graphic arts. Pencil drawing evolved into other techniques, such as calligraphy; oil paint, water colour and airbrush on canvas and textile.

Later I transported this passion to the computer. Digital photography treatment also caught my interest and from there it’s just a small step to photography. One of photography’s main advantages is that the source of subjects and challenges is almost endless.

It finally led to the creation of my website and this Flickr portfolio showing samples of the many photographs that I’ve taken over the years. New creations will be added regularly. I therefore hope that you’ll drop in from time to time.
