The Coastal Ocean Observation Lab (COOL) at Rutgers University is part of the Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences. The lab was established in October 1992 by Dr. Scott M. Glenn. Today, RU COOL has grown from a three-person operation to a full staff of employees, undergraduate and graduate students. RU COOL for 20 years has been a world leader in ocean science, education programs and providing the public access to the world's ocean. Our team is dedicated to building a global presence to discover and communicate exciting and critical science about our planet for the benefit of society.
