I always loved to travel to beautiful places but when I got home our pictures never reflected what I saw and experienced.

I was fortunate enough to have some very, very talented friends at work who offered to help me out, choose better equipment, get me started on Flickr, and encourage me to keep shooting even when it seemed like the entire world of Flickr was filled with far more talented photographers that I could never hold a candle to.

That last part is still true, but at least my pictures have gotten much, much better!
