My background was - earlier - in the adventure sports industry and - more recently - in journalism. Currently, I work as a community food systems consultant assisting local government develop policy on local food initiatives such as community food gardens.

I have an interest in the architecture and design of the 1920's-1930s period, in what is known as Art Deco.
