Drag to set position!
I have been an amateur photographer since 2006. I am a member of Australian Photographic Society and the Waverley Camera Club. I have lived in the Waverley area of Melbourne, Victoria, most of my life.
I take photographs that exhibit pure, natural light. Real landscapes that are relatively unaltered. This means that I very rarely modify the content of my photographs. I prefer to get the image right in the camera. If it looks dramatic, it is because that was my experience and not because the photograph was enhanced to the point of being an illustration.
I use Adobe Lightroom for post processing. LR is mainly used for cropping and adjustments to exposure, contrast etc. I use Adobe Photoshop rarely.
I have a challenge with colour-blindness (red & green). I'd like to raise awareness of this issue, especially amongst electronic equipment manufacturers who use red / amber / green LEDs to show equipment status (up to 9% of western males can't tell the difference!). My colour-blindness means I place a lot of trust in equipment colour calibration. I rarely mess with colours and hues in Lightroom. The other option is to pursue my passion for photography more in B&W - not that there is anything wrong with that!
Current cameras are Canon 5DsR, Canon 5D MkII and Olympus OMD EM-1 (more details below).
Most of my early panoramas were created using a wide angle lens on the 5D (full-frame sensor), and then cropped in LR. More recently, and when the subject permits, I take multiple images (manual mode) and stitch using LR CC, PTGuiPro, or Panorama Maker.
My equipment is calibrated using Spyder Pro.
