My main areas of interest are landscape and macro photography. Most of my macro work is indoor. I enjoy the outdoor experiences and physical challenges of landscape and the technical challenges of macro. The combination of the two works well for me as Western Australia is simply too hot during summer for much outdoor work.

Contemporary photographers who continue to inspire me are Thomas Heaton and Simon Baxter for landscape, and Allan Walls for macro.

I also enjoy the equally important part of digital image making - post processing. I use Lightroom on all images, Zerene Stacker for focus stacking, and Photoshop for complex clean up work (particularly on stacked macro images). I'm currently investing time in learning more about Photoshop, with the aim of producing composite images in the future.
