Thanks for a million views!

All of my pictures are copyright. If you wish to use any of my pictures please use Flickrmail to contact me and agree terms. There is normally no charge for non-commercial use. I have in the past licensed my pictures under a non commercial attributable creative commons license but I found hundreds of copies of my shots in use on commercial web sites in contravention of the license terms so I have had to restrict the ability to download the images.

I have been a keen photographer since the age of 5. My Father was a forensic photographer and taught me the technical skills of photography, developing and printing in black and white and colour. At the age of 19, I was a trainee BBC TV Cameraman but was (quite rightly) sacked for being no good at the job.

I have previously used a variety of cameras, mostly medium format, which I liked because I found it much easier to compose a good picture by looking at a screen than by looking through a viewfinder. This made "point and shoot" digital cameras very attractive to me and I started with a Sony camera which took pictures on a floppy disk. I soon found I was having more fun with my digital camera than with my medium format outfit, despite the difference in quality. I've now sold most of my film cameras and gone digital, though I still have a Pentax Spotmatic and an Olympus OM4. I especially enjoy photographing details of things and reflections and now use a Fuji X-T2 and use the viewfinder more than the screen! I was atrracted to the X-T2 by the "proper" dedicated control knobs, it felt like coming home.
