Often described as the younger and better-looking version of his father, "Rob the RumScout" appreciates the finer points of quality rum. Hosting the Miami Rum Renaissance Festival every April has afforded Rob the opportunity to travel around the world and explore numerous distilleries.

Rob is always experimenting with cocktail recipes, traveling the world to discover classic cocktails and their clever variations, seeking out the latest techniques in mixology.

Together with his father, they write the National Rum Examiner column and Rob's Rum Guide, as well as producing the Rum Minute YouTube channel, with concise videos on both rum expressions and especially the accompanying cocktails.

Rob's love of Tiki initiated a creative get together entitled "Tiki Horror Night," whose mission is to celebrate bad movies by making fun of them and pay tribute to good cocktails one sip at a time. (Shades of Mystery Science Theatre 3000.)
