I'm a new owner of a Nikon D5000 and newbie to photography (have upgraded to a D300S). I'm a fan of D-Town TV with Scott Kelby & Matt Kloskowski and have started reading Scott's books as well as others to better understand and improve my basic skills in photography. I'm starting to like macro photography and will someday own a macro lens. Until then, I'll continue to use the my D5000 set lens (AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 G) and showcase the results on Flickr :)

I now own the Nikon AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED and love it! It'll take a lot of practice on my part to get the best shots as compared to others, but it'll be fun :)

I have since added a Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED, Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G, Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II, and a new Nikon D300S body! The latest lenses added to my collection is the AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II and AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D IF. This is a beautiful lens and one of my favorites!!

This hobby is getting expensive...but I'm loving every minute of it :) Now let's shoot!!
