I'm a Brixton born photographer and website designer (retired), lover of medieval stuff, London and Cornwall.

I've had a camera since I was seven.

I studied documentary photography at the London College of Printing (LCP) in the 1970s and worked as a landscape and architectural photographer for several years.

I did the architectural photography for several exhibitions at the Hayward Gallery, including:

• Thirties: British Art and Design Before the War

• 1066: English Romanesque Art

• Homage to Barcelona

and also The Age of Chivalry: Gothic Art at the Royal Academy.

After that I worked as an audio-visual producer making programmes for museums and exhibitions - several of which won awards.

I started designing and creating websites in 1995. I did that full-time as a freelancer until 2018.

I was also a champion kite flyer winning the UK Winter League two years running in the early 2000s.

My most recent project is a book on London's Ghost Signs which I've co-authored with Sam Roberts.

But whatever else I've done, I've never stopped taking photographs.
