Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit. I am an avid photographer and reluctant writer. My passion is for nature (macro, underwater macro, landscape) and portraits. I see great beauty in the wildness and variety in nature and strive to capture that. I don't care much for capturing exactly what it looked like, I shoot for a feeling. I want my pictures to make others feel the magic that I feel when I see nature.

As part of my passion, I enjoy studing photography as much as making images. To study with a critical eye is the best education. I recently took a trip to Hong Kong and spent the better part of a day reading through their wonderful photography section at the library (not why I went to Hong Kong).
