Rox Arten is simply my Second Life (as well as other virtual worlds) avatar name! The images you will find posted here by me are just a small portion of what I take. I am a builder, instructor, DJ, photographer, business owner, event organizer, Role Player, and so much more. I do NOT believe that SL is just a game, it has not been that for me since very early in my long life there, I am very much what you see is what you get, I'm not hiding behind a mask other than if I'm in genuine RP playing a character, and even then they often have many similarities with myself. If you see me around the grid say hi, I am friendly and love to talk with those around me. If I don't respond, however, please forgive me I am very likely lost in Photoshop or some other external program.

I am an artist, writer, musician, and web developer. I tend to be very eclectic and love everything about life... I take the good with the bad and find my path through it all, though not always as gracefully as I might like. I love life and love learning. I am always doing something creative be it writing, creating digital art in various forms, making jewelry, creating things in SL, role-playing, singing, painting, or one of many other things that I enjoy. Music is huge in my life, there is never a moment when there isn't some kind of music playing in my home, I am an accomplished musician playing several instruments and singing. I read and write music but also can play by ear. I sketch ideas for things to make in SL in a sketchbook and also paint as well as create digital artwork.

I've been working in Photoshop since 2002, as well as being proficient with the use of Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign. My latest learning paths are ventures into Marvelous Designer, Blender, Daz3D, and Unity. Additionally, I am just starting to venture into the use of a VR Headset which I am finding both fascinating and daunting.

What you will find in my photostream regularly are items I've made, pictures from the 4 Annual Twisted Hunts and Events (2 hunts and 2 sales), images from exploring the annual Fantasy Faire in Second Life, and other random images from traveling around SL, other grids, and possibly soon even the new generation VR worlds that I have started to explore. Additionally, some of my artwork finds it's way to my photostream as well!

I am quirky and eclectic both in my interests and my creations, so you never know what might show up next, I am who I am, love me or hate me. I carefully mark all images that are not PG so that you do not have to see them if you do not wish to! I do not restrict my creativity to what fits into anyone's ideal box of what is right or wrong nor do I restrict my life to that tiny box. If you object to who I am, my lifestyle, or me in some way please know that I am ok with that, it's your right, but do not come to me and tell me I'm all wrong I'll ignore or mute you because I have lived long enough to know that I can't please everyone and that I can't please myself if I am trying, and that it's just less painful and far more enjoyable to live my life for myself!

Who is behind them? I am a female born in 1975, a polyamorous, pansexual, switch who has led a kinky lifestyle since I was 19 in one way or another. I've had various forms of relationships, including being a swinger with a couple of former partners. I've seen the good and bad sides of much of life, want to understand me, get to know me. I am as fluid as water and inflexible as steel in different ways! A showoff but still an introvert for example. Funny, quirky, but worth the effort to get to know and understand if you have the patience it pays in spades!
