Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance (ROAR) was set up in 2005 by a group of professional artists with three clear aims:

to provide support for artists living and/or working in Rotherham.

to provide a 'one stop shop' for schools statutory bodies, community groups and businesses wanting to access and employ artists.

to establish a sustainable independent working arts centre in Rotherham. The vision is to provide rehearsal space, visual art studios, film making and recording facilities as well as office space.

The organisation was established primarily to work towards establishing a strong, healthy and vibrant artistic community in and for Rotherham.

As the recently appointed chief executive it is now my job to move this vision forward. We would like to invite you to join ROAR and help build capacity, enthusiasm and profile for this exciting work.

We are an organisation looking to turn Rotherham into a hotbed of high quality arts activity and to establish an independent sustainable arts centre to house all the creative talent!
