Retired Physician, I now live in Connecticut, formerly New Jersey, Texas, New Mexico, South Florida and migrated to Chicagoland when it was not too cold there. Digiscoped backyard birds in New Mexico, and received a gift of an old Canon Rebel digital SLR, bought a long lens and started photographing birds in April, 2008. Still have a lot to learn (like reading the camera manual and remembering what it says). In 1999, as a USFS volunteer, initiated a rosy-finch feeding program at Sandia Crest, New Mexico, and I now follow rosy-finch banding and research on my Web site. Lately advocated for the protection of a neighborhood Bald Eagle nest in Broward County, Florida, the first since DDT was abolished in the 1970s.

I find such joy in his photos and they all seem to be made for National Geographic... truly an inspiration!!!
