I began taking photographs as an enthusiastic 13-year-old, working with my father's somewhat battered Canon A-1. Even in those earliest moments of discovery, photography has always seemed to me a way of translating and ordering the natural world. Photography captures the transient beauty of nature as no other art form can. These days I shoot with a DSLR and my work is influenced by the seminal images of George Lepp; however, in many ways, I'm still that wide-eyed kid with his father's camera trying to capture the world around me one moment at a time.
