Photography became a big interest during my late teens, armed with nothing but a ropey compact 35mm film camera and a burgeoning interest in the great outdoors.

With age has come the realisation that special moments exist within the everyday, the ordinary and the often overlooked so I no longer confine myself to trying to find something different or unique to photograph, however there is still nothing like the feeling when you're stood before one of nature's vistas and all the pieces are falling sweetly into place for a great shot!

In recent years my interest in railways has re-emerged and as such these now also feature frequently throughout my photo stream. I also scan and upload collected railway slides taken by other (and often unknown) photographers as I'm keen to preserve and share the historical importance that they feature - often the people, fashions and objects that surround the main subject of a slide can be just as interesting!

Feel free to add me as a contact, I'm always keen to find inspiration from others :)

Having seen this photographer start from small beginnings I can say with confidence that his work will be recognised nationally at some point. His composition and eye from unique subjects and content will place Ross in many homes in time to come

I've always been a huge fan of the photographs this man takes. I guess it helps to live in such a beautiful part of England, but he manages to catch seascapes and land at the best possible moments. Full of light and earthy tones. And to top it off, he's a Pearl Jam fan. Perfect!
