The photos in the Flickr showcase below are the 25 most popular photos dating back to 2023 that did not make Explore. Photos in Explore are not usually the best photos but get lots of favs because of increased exposure, so the showcase is a nice addition to offset that.

I am a retired systems analyst who worked with credit card processing, design, and testing. I am a member of the Sharp Shooters Camera Club in Montpelier, Idaho. I love to explore the American west, especially ghost towns, Indian rock art, wildlife, and unusual landscapes. The beautiful Bear Lake Valley in southeastern Idaho is home. My wife, Linda, is also a fine photographer.

Many of my older Flickr posts documented my annual camping trips with two other photographers. As of 2019 we had been camping for 38 consecutive years and 50 trips, but the string was broken by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have aged out of future trips. Those good days are gone.

I enjoy commenting and am impressed by the photos I see and like to award lots of FAVs. I once completed two years of a 365 project. It was extremely rewarding, but took an incredible amount of time. For that reason, I need to limit the number of people I follow on Flickr to avoid a time crunch similar to 365. Sorry...

Photography changed my life. I met my wife, Linda at the Alameda Photographic Society in California, where we were both President three times and are life members. I was also President of the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) and we founded the Sharp Shooters Camera Club in 2001 here in Montpelier, Idaho.

My other hobby is our website, www.hisandhersphoto.com.
