Did a little bit of photography, when I was at school and helped set up a darkroom. Continued to take pics through my late teens and twenties. Moving up to a Olympus OM2n eventually (which I still have and use). I entered a few competitions during the 80's and 90's.

I rekindled my love for photography 3 years ago, when I purchased a Nikon D90. I know run landscape/walking photography courses. I am a member of Macclesfield Camera Club. I am a little old school, as I believe a photograph is a capture of a moment in time and pictorial image and can never be re-captured. I can appreciate constructed images in photoshop for what they are; an image, but is it truly a photograph? More recently, I have combined my other passion of music and have been shooting gigs most weekends. I now have a Nikon D90, D300, D7000 and Nikon have swapped my D600 for a new D610; because of the oil issue on the sensor
