I have enjoyed painting and drawing since childhood but I am largely self taught. I paint in order to see the world around me and to see how I feel on the inside. I like to imagine the people who designed the buildings I paint and wonder why they differ so much from each other. I also like to observe the movement and change inherent in trhe natural world. Until 2005 I pursued a career in neuropsychology. My work included, amongst other things, exploring the brain mechanisms used in visual perception, and in memory, including the representation of space in memory. So I have always had an interest in the way we see and remember the world.

Bellissima galleria, complimenti!.
Parabéns, seu trabalho é muito bonito. Estou feliz por ter sido contemplada com sua aquarela retratando minha foto do mico e sua mamãe. Saudações! Congratulations, your work is very beautiful. I am happy to have been contemplated with her watercolor portraying my photo of the monkey and her mother. Greetings!
What a wonderful and generous artist, Ros Ridley is! Not only do I enjoy her works on flickr, but I have had the good fortune to purchase one. What a wonderful and generous artist, Ros Ridley is! Not only do I enjoy her works on flickr, but I have had the good fortune to purchase one. It was a simple process, whereby I made an enquiry to Ros via flickrmail, a price was agreed upon, a money order was sent and I received an extremely well packed/protected watercolor a few weeks later. I couldn't possibly be more thrilled with the watercolor, which is even nicer in reality than it appeared on flickr. I know that I will enjoy it for many years and that it willl inspire my own future artistic endeavours.
