Rose Pruyne has designed, developed, and administered Web sites and Web applications since 1995. She currently is responsible for Penn State’s Dairy and Animal Science Web site and related projects.

 

Her areas of expertise include Web content management systems, Web standards, accessibility, content management best practices, Web design, and emerging Web technologies.

 

She is a member of Penn State’s Policy AD54 Committee, which works with academic and administrative units to ensure that sites meet design specifications and are Web Standards-compliant.

 

She also is a member of Penn State’s Web Standards Users Group and Penn State’s Zope Users Group, and is a partner in Penn State’s WebLion Project.

 

She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in writing and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and American Literature from Penn State.

 

In her free time, Rose tends 2.75 acres of perennial gardens; plays guitar and a number of other instruments, writes fiction, target shoots, makes wampum, and chain-reads (lighting one book with the end of another).

 

Rose Pruyne grew up on a dairy farm in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
