I enjoy observing people when they go about their business and love catching those unpredictable moments. Nothing beats the feeling of being in the right place at the right time and capturing that fleeting moment, the briefest of all insights into their world, which stays with me in the form of a photograph long after our paths have crossed...

Royna's street photography is sheer poetry, a formal mastery of composition, stunning use of shadows and above all the ability to capture ironic and distanced shots of street life in all its beauty. Her mastery of black and white is astonishing and captures the reality of the street. Her warmth and humanism reminds me of the great Robert Doisneau, she is completely unique to flickr and her's is one of the few streams i eagerly look forward to the latest pictures.
