The world is a weird, wild place...

Ron Schott grew up in a small, central Washington town called Wenatchee where his love for all things tech and the marketing activities involved with it were born. From the day his dad came home with their first computer (a Packard-Bell), he was hooked.

Now, in his mid-20s, Schott has worked with industry marketers at Intel, Microsoft, HP, SGI and more and has used those experiences to learn one thing: he doesn't want to be a worker bee. OK, two things: he doesn't want to be a worker bee and he doesn't like wearing a tie.

Schott reads, writes and comments on the everyday technology and events that are shaping our digital world. He also, when he finds the time, writes a singles' blog on the Seattle P-I's site called SWM in SEA.

Don't let his Queen Anne address in Seattle fool you, this guy is on top of what's happening in areas that don't involve losing NBA franchises and Starbucks.
