I've followed the work of Roni River for a quite long time now. It makes me so happy to see her grow together with her photos and it is great what she achieved. I can say that her work was part of my decision to pick up a camera and actually try to do photography. Her strength and her courage to show the world a part of her she was/is very insecure about helped me to see myself in a different way as well. Roni not only helped me to see real beauty in her tasteful photographs; she also helped me finding my real passion, photography. I will forever be thankful for that.

Do you remember the time before the Internet? I remember. Do you remember the time before Flickr? I remember, and I think you will too. But there is something that I do not remember: the time before I discovered miss Spi-V, miss Roni River. Roni, in my real life, there is a before and after you. And it's really hard to put words on that. There are phrases like "I like the work of this photographer," or "the idea of this picture is so good and simple at the same time," or "She's incredible, a great artist, a person so nice too, a wonderful photographer, a beautiful model. " That's not enough. It breaks my heart that I can not write anything about you that live in me, in this testimony. Someone said that we can not explain the feelings. When I read the comments on you, I think that you provoke more emotion in us than you think. And in the right direction ! How can we thank you for all the pleasure you give us? I do not think I'm alone in thinking that we love your work. But we love you too.

Admittedly I have written this testimonial a dozen times. I have tried, as best I can, to find the words that would adequately pay tribute to Roni (Spi-V) in such a way that the reader (you) could fully understand the immense impact that she and her body~of~work have had on me, as well as a wealth of other individuals floating within the virtual walls of Flickr. Needless to say, I don’t think such a tribute is possible ~ it is, in truth, an insurmountable task. However, just viewing her work, reading the words that accompany her submissions, the viewer gains a closer perspective as to who she is ~ a beautiful, terrifically blessed and talented woman. The fact that she has exposed herself in such a way, conveyed her inner thoughts, thus letting us in if only for a moment, should be considered by all of us to be a blessing ~ and we should all be better for it. I could rave on for decades and a day about her talent as a photographer but her body~of~work speaks more than I ever could. If I could say any one thing about Roni I would simply say this… in her entirety she is a movement, the faint echo of an emotional past and the roaring thunder of beautiful tomorrow. She is the muse of inspiration ~ the incarnation of sexuality and the invoker of thought and feeling. I fear that we only see a whisper of the totality of all that she is… 365 days is simply just not enough! MH~

I have come across a lot of women through my existence. All with different flavors (I'm not talking physical) and different colors of soul... some i knew but i could not read, some i never came to know, but read like an open book. You belong in the second group. I will never know you perhaps, but I believe i can read something. When you look down is shyness, the way you place you hands around you belly, how your eyes mourn when you cry.... the tears transcend to more than tears and your hands engulf more than the flesh. Encrypted letters in the abyss waiting to be picked. Few are the those who merely through their work make me feel this. But you are truly the first to whom I'd grant the Golden Apple of Discord. I've gone up and down your stream, I have plenty to say but not enough words, because meanings age as i stare at one of your images for more than few seconds, and it's impossible to summarize the growth of an impression in a few words as it dimensionalizes in 10 directions , yet I shall attempt it, try as a might, everyday, I'll visit , leave a twinkle, perhaps it brightens my day more.

ah i randomly stumbled onto Roni's photos while on flickr,and became a instant fan. not because shes a good looking woman.but because i loved looking into her life & reading about what was going on.it was like a good book that you cant put down. (just with photos) i feel like ive watched her grow as a woman & person thru her photos. (even though she takes some down) hahaha anyway. shes a GREAT photog & writer, one more reason to enjoy her work
