I was born in Cape Town South Africa,but have lived in Ibiza since 1972. A few years ago I got a minolta point and shoot and started taking pics of birds and flowers . In December 2007 I bought a Nikon D80 a Nikkor Macro 105 2.8 lense and a 300 tele lense for the birds. I was ,and still am, taking most of my pics in the garden and I started noticing all the insects! At the same time I was lucky enough to come across Lord V on Flickr with all his wonderful photos,and his wonderfully practical information. Thanks Brian,for your generous sharing! I now have my stabilising pole and my coca cola flash diffuser and am enjoying! Oh,if the insect is very small I just clip a Raynox macro convertor on the end of the lense.
