Seeking visual treasures wherever I go...

I've been interested in photography since I was a teen, shooting black & white images with simple box cameras and an early Polaroid, color slides with an Argus C-3 Matchmatic 35mm rangefinder, and home movies with a Kodak Brownie 8mm camera. While those efforts were not very good, the interest was there and I learned some basic skills. Over the years I've owned a variety of cameras, including a very nice Pentax ME Super 35mm film camera.

For the past several years I have enjoyed more free time to devote to personal interests, especially including photography and travel. In 2009 I purchased my first DSLR and then spent some time re-learning basic photography techniques and developing "digital darkroom" skills. As I continue to refine my technical skills, I'm always in search of compelling subject matter while striving to produce creative and artful images.

So far, I have visited 34 US states and 44 countries. I look forward to exploring new locations whenever I can.
